Ante Natal Care (ANC) profile consists of a group of pathology tests which are advised to pregnant women. These tests help in monitoring maternal as well as fetal health. Along with routine medical examination and other diagnostic scans, these tests form part of the complete Ante Natal Care medical check up, which every pregnant woman must undergo.
This test is done during the first trimester of pregnancy. It is primarily used to check infectious disease like HIV, diabetes, thyroid and also to assess the health of the pregnant woman.
It also helps in checking the possibilities of the health issues that may affect the fetus.
Proper treatment and medication are given to the patient after examining the medical condition. The group test includes, complete blood count cbc, hemoglobin electrophoresis, Urinalysis Rh factor Anti-HCV, HBsAg, HIV 1&2, VDRL, TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone), Blood group, Blood sugar random RBS, Rubella IgG IgM.
